Here is a collection of my favourite New Zealand recipes. A nickname for things and people from New Zealand is kiwi, like the bird that comes from there. The first local food I tried when I went to New Zealand was a Lamington, which is a delicious chocolate and coconut covered square of cake. However, I had tried them before in the UK, as they are also popular here. My friend from New Zealand has sent me some more recipes, most of which are for biscuits (aka cookies) that I had never heard of before. For example, Afghans, ginger crunch and Belgian biscuits. I am slowly baking my way through the recipes and will keep sharing them here. Then I’ll need to search for some savoury recipes too!
