When I visited the city of Rimini on the way to San Marino, I did not do much planning and spent the day wandering around the city on foot. By chance, I came upon the area of Borgo San Giuliano. It is a very quaint and colourful older part of the city with beautiful architecture. In addition, it has a great collection of street art throughout the area. The photos show some of my favourite pieces of Rimini street art at the time I visited in 2019. Of course, there are probably new art works by now!
The main part of town is on the other side of the canal and you can cross the Ponte di Tiberio to reach Borgo San Giuliano. The street art including murals are located within all of the small streets in the area. Also, there are cute cafes and restaurants tucked in the side streets. Surprisingly, even on a nice sunny day, it was not very busy and I had a very peaceful walk around. I’m not sure what the residents think about tourists stopping to take photos all around the neighbourhood. However, I think they should be very proud of this outdoor art museum!
